Taking inspiration from Yayoi Kusama's profound ability to translate childhood trauma into art, my self-published book weaves elements from her body of work. The cover design, with its reflective surface, pays homage to her iconic installation, Narcissus Garden (1966).
To depict the emotional voyage through trauma, I chose a magenta and green color scheme. Magenta, symbolizing passion and power, encompasses a range of emotions such as love and pain. On the other hand, green signifies growth, healing, and renewal. By juxtaposing these contrasting colors, I sought to capture the intricate tapestry of emotions and experiences associated with trauma, resulting in a visually striking representation that is both distinctive and impactful.
